Willie James Liptrot was born on April 12, 1943 in Brundidge, Alabama to the late Foy and Dora Mae Liptrot . He spent the majority of his life living in Newark, New Jersey and retired from the United States Postal Service after 35 years of service. Upon retirement he moved back to Troy, Alabama where he departed this life on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Willie was a faithful member of the Greater Bethel AME Church where he loved his pastor Warren Anderson.

Willie was preceded in death by parents, Foy and Dora Mae; sister, Annie Grace; three brothers, Moses, Foy Jr, and Dallas; special brother– in– law Louis.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Beverly, daughter Sandra Liptrot son Bryan Liptrot (Anna). Five grandchildren; Kayla, Desean, Hannah, Madison, & Jordyn. Five sisters: Asia Vell Liptrot, Zedell Coleman (Melvin), Catherine White, Cherie Edwards, Mary Charles Jones. One brother: Levoy Liptrot (Ira). One special nephew Daron Haynes (Sonia). A host of nieces and nephews.
