Shanna Yolanda Chambers West started her beautiful
journey of life on May 8, 1974 to the late Airmedia Grandberry aka “Blondie”,
and the late James Albert Bawl. God called her to begin her celebration of life
May 23, 2019 at Enterprise Medical Center.
Shanna devoted her life to Christ at an early age at Johns Chapel
A.M.E. Church in Enterprise, Alabama. Shanna remained a faithful member of
Johns Chapel until her job transferred her to Perry, Georgia. Shanna attended
schools in the Enterprise City School System, and graduated from Enterprise
High School. After graduation, Shanna attended Enterprise State Junior College.
After college, Shanna started her career with Purdue Poultry Processing
Plant in Perry, Georgia. It was there that she met her husband Dexter West.
She progressed to title of U.S.D.A Government Inspector. She gave the government 24 years of service until she was unable to work and had to seek medical
retirement. Shanna made many friends while in Georgia to add to her multitude of friends from Enterprise, Alabama. Shanna was an angel with a huge
heart and would give anyone the shirt off her back. Anytime you saw her, she
always had a big smile on her face. She refused to let anybody, or anything steal
her joy and dampen her spirit. Shanna loved the Lord, her family, and her
friends dearly. She especially loved children. That was her pride and joy. She also loved to attend church and sing gospel
