Sandra Darlene Demons Edge departed this life December 26, 2019 at the Medical Center Enterprise in Enterprise, AL.
Sandra was born June 29, 1956 in the post hospital at Fort Bragg, NC to the parentage of Deacon and Master Sergeant (retired) Curtis Demons, Jr. and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Oglesby Demons. She attended weekly services at the Post Chapel where Christianity and faith became the foundation for which the would center her life. The height of her Christian experience came in 1987 at Fort Bragg where she gave her life to Christ Jesus, never to look back. She was formally educated in the Jack Britt Elementary School in Fort Bragg, NC; Chestnut Middle School, Fayetteville, NC; Seventy First High School in Fayetteville, NC; received Secretarial Skills training at Guthrie Job Corp Center, Guthie, OK; and attended night school in the Fayetteville Technical Community College Adult High School Education Program where she earned her High School Diploma.
Most of her adult life was devoted to family; she was a devoted mother, homemaker and wife. In later years she worked as a volunteer teachers aid in the Fort Rucker Elementary School where she was recognized publicly as Volunteer of the Year. Sandra also was a Production Supervisor at the Movie Gallery, Inc. Distribution Center headquartered in Dothan, AL and worked as a product assembler at the Nypro Alabama, LLC. manufacturing injection molding--plastics in Dothan, AL. Sandra retired from all outside work in 2005 due to medical reasons and returned to being solely a housewife and homemaker. Sandra is survived by her husband, of 39 years, Minister and Sergeant Major (retired) Judson Edge, Jr., Enterprise, A; two daughters, Serena Deedee (Joseph) Edge Harrison of Huntsville, AL; Nastassias Cusie (Brad) Edge Williams of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren Ms. Sachi Harrison, Ms. Lydia Williams; three step-grandchildren Mr. Joshua Harrison of Dothan, AL, Ms. Brittanie Harrison of Ashford, AL and Mr. Joseph Harrison, Jr. of Webb, AL and eight step-great grandchildren. Her father Deacon and Master Sergeant (retired) Curtis (Mary) Demons,; her mother Ms. Johnnie Oglesby Demons; two brothers Mr. Curtis Demons, Jr. III of Cayce, SC; Master Sergeant (retired) Tony (Marla-deceased) Demons of Spring, TX and two sisters Kim (Sean) Stultz of Fayetteville, NC; Charmane (Danny) Demons Corbette of Fayetteville, NC. Mother-in-law Julia Mae (Judson, Sr. deceased) Moore Edge of Americus, GA.; six brothers-in-law Elder Douglas (Stacey) Edge, Rev. George (Lindsey) Edge; Rev Micheal (Linda) Edge; six sisters-in-law Mrs. Margaret (George) Edge Clark; Mrs. Eleanor (Jacob) Edge Mills; Mrs. Thereses (Durante) Edge Williams; two uncles Mr. Raymond (Nellie deceased) Demons of Atlanta, GA and Rev. Thomas E. Oglesby of Newark, NJ.
