Rosa Foster Walker Obituary

Rosa Mary Foster Walker was born in Rochester, NY, on November 19, 1957, to the late Bert and Sherrie Foster. She departed this life on Thursday, June 14, 2018, in Dothan, AL. She was known to family and friends as ‘Rosie’. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Elba, AL. She later moved her membership to Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, New Brockton, AL, where she served as part of the kitchen committee. Rosie received her education at Mulberry School in Elba, AL. In October 2005, she joined in marriage to Charles Walker, Sr. Rosie served as a faithful employee at New Brockton High School for 24 years. There, she touched the lives of many students, staff, and parents. Her home and heart were always open to family, friends, and those in need.  
 
Rosie is preceded in death by her mother and father, Bert and Sherrie Foster; sister, Janice Foster; and brother, Bert Foster, Jr.; grandparents, Eddie Bell & Pearlie Turner and Yank Foster and Mayreed Walton; six aunts-Bertis Foster, Lacey Tillis, Ozellar Head, Annie Pearl Pruitt, Beatrice 
Caldwell, and Mary Lois Finch; and three uncles-Louis Tillis, Ridgeway Turner, and Willie Bell Turner. 
 
She is survived by her husband, Charles Walker, Sr., three sons, Cedric (Tonya) Foster, Edward (Christy) Walker, and Charles (Shantel) Walker, Jr.; three sisters-Michelle Foster and Stephanie (Terry) Adams, both of New Brockton, AL; and Lannis (Clayton) Favors, Panama City, FL; four brothers-Johnny (Margaret) Foster, Level Plains, AL; Don Foster, Stanley Foster, and Steven Foster, all of New Brockton, AL; seven nieces-Devin Harbuck, Morgan Foster, Ashanti 
Foster, Ana Bella Adams, Sherrie Foster, Tilina Foster, and Aquaneta Foster; seven nephews-Donnell Foster, Rashaun Foster, Demetrius Foster, Seneca Foster, Sheridan Foster, Courtney Foster, and Dontarius Adams; nine grandchildren, Xavier, Briton, Kyren, Elijah, Aiden, Makayla, Marquis, Sir’nhya, and Khiry; two aunts-Birdie Owens, Lake Wales, FL and Glenda Holloway, Enterprise, AL; one uncle, Lee 
Holloway, Enterprise, AL; special cousins, Jennifer 
Holloway, Jeanell Bush, and Bridgette Tyson; and a host of 
other cousins and close friends.
