Raymond Caldwell was born in Coffee County to the later Lamar Sr. and Berta Mae Caldwell on March 7, 1947. early on Sunday morning of February 24, 2019 The Angels came down and took him to his heavenly home where he will live eternal love. He was preceded in death by his wife Lossie Caldwell, his daughter Phyllis Green, his son Tom Green and his finance’ Debra Bryant.
Raymond joined the Marines right out of High school. While serving a short term, he realized his passion for driving trucks, which he did for 56 years he relocated from Alabama to Connecticut. After residing there for 30 plus years he decided to return home. Where he was a faithful member of The Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Devon Feagin.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories two daughters; Raymonda Caldwell of Opp, AL, Carolyn Caldwell Denver, CO, two stepsons; Tracy Carson and Tuwan Bryant of Fort Walton FL, one sister; Clara Henderson of Opp AL, six brothers; Lamar Sr. (Tressa) Caldwell of Springfield MA, John Lee Caldwell of Waterbury CT, Rayshon Caldwell of Tacoma, WA, Winston (Christina) Caldwell of Kinston AL, Joseph C (Annie) Caldwell of Opp AL, Mac Caldwell of Opp AL, Nineteen Grandchildren; Triston II, Christion, Izeya, Elijah, Tony, Jada, Chloe, Xavier, Duwan, Damone,, Dominique, Aaliyah, LaPresha (Derek), Cynathia, Christopher, Demica, Temica (Arch), Huzel, Christopher, thirteen Great-Grandchildren; Cecil, Khadaphy, Brady, Micah, Makayla, Te’Laysha, Ty’Ron, Mariah, Nevaeh, Nizarya, Jarrion, Jadin, Keyanna. A special son; Donyell Akins and grandchildren; Deion, Danyella, Travon, Jalan, Terrion, Shaniqua, Dontazsia, Markita, Jon Darrious, special cousin/sister; Annie (Charlie) Carson of Crestview, FL, special friends ; Triston Musgrove and Grady Elmore Opp AL, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
