Mary E. Covington

Mary Ellen Covington was born January 9, 1938 in 
Enterprise, Alabama to the late Judge D. and Bessie Mae Harper.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and became a member of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member.  Mary loved Shady Grove and attended when able.  She proudly 
proclaimed her membership.  She was an outstanding cook and seamstress who gladly shared her skills.  

She was united in matrimony to Leslie Lois Covington.  

Mary departed this life on August 16, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, one sister, and four brothers.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: 
Three Brothers: Rev. Lewis (Barbara) Harper, Daleville, AL, Judge (Mary) Harper, Newark, NJ, Thomas Harper, Newark, NJ.  Two Sisters:  Mary Terry, 
Daleville, AL and Clara Hodges, Newark, NJ.   Sisters-in-law: Nell Harper, Newark, NJ, Judy Covington, 
Enterprise, AL, Nancy (Al) Wyatt, Chicago, IL, Mary Adams, Buffalo, NY, Mavis Diggs, Rochester, NY, Mable Harper, Newark, NJ.  A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
