Lula Mae Jones Colston was born on November 9, 1947 to the late Johnnie Lee Jones and the late Mary Stallworth Jones in Owassa, AL.
Later in life, Lula moved to Opp, AL. Lula was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Isiac Colston on June 28, 1997.
During her life, she worked at Alatex for 15 years and later retired from Pilgrims Pride. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face which allowed her to never meet a stranger.
Lula crossed over to her new home on January 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; Johnnie and Mary Jones, a loving husband Isiac Colston, and two brothers; Calvin and James E. Jones.
Lula leaves to cherish precious memories to her two sons; Willie Ray (Alisha) Jones of Dothan, AL, Donald Ray (Tiara) Jones of Opp, AL, five brothers; David Jones, Wille (Vatis Ann) Jones and Johnny (Telma J) Jones all of Rochester, NY, Lemmon and Fred Jones both of Evergreen, AL, Sisters-in-law; Maple Nelson, Alice White, Marion Jenkins Colstons, and Jeanette (Joe) Merrills all of Opp, AL, Four grandchildren; Brooklyn Jones, Azabin Johnson, Harmony Jones and Karson Jones, a special cousin Bell, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
