Judieth Marie McKnight was born February 17, 1966 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On Tuesday morning October 29, 2019 God saw that Judieth was tired and her earthly body was worn, so God met Judieth to give her wings to fly away to her home in Glory. We as family fondly called her “Judy” . She enjoyed her youth and teenage years by traveling across country during her fathers military career. Her early education began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Judieth graduated High School in Frankfort, Germany. Judy furthered her education with a medical assistant degree from Capps College, Dothan, AL. She also received a Bachelor of science degree from Troy State University of Dothan, AL. Judy was gainfully employed in Retail Management at Walmart and Buds Stores. Judy joined the Church of God in Christ at an early age in Greensburg, Louisiana at Buckleys Temple COGIC under the pastorship of the late Superintendent Earl Buckley. After moving to Alabama she joined New Bethel COGIC under the pastorship of Dr. Elder James Brown Sr. There she served as the Choir Director, Devotion Leader, and on the Board of Finance and for a period of time she served as the Samson district Choir President. Judy loved to Praise God in song. Wherever, and whenever, Judy was called upon to fill many duties, she did so with a vibrant smile, and now she is singing in the heavenly choir. Judieth leaves to cherish her memory her father and mother; Leon and Imogene Atkins of Enterprise, Alabama, two sons; Kent Terrell McKnight Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Amilo Trevar Warren McKnight of Enterprise, Alabama, six sisters; Beverly (Anthony) Ford Shreveport, Louisiana, Jullaune London Jackson, Louisiana, Myra Wilcox of Panama City, FL, Mylette (Elder Daryll) Clark Albuquerque, New Mexico, Evette (Johnny) McKnight of Atlanta, Georgia, Paulette Martin, Enterprise, Alabama, one brother; Leon Atkins Jr. Zachory Louisiana, four uncles; Mr. James Jr. (Laurene) McKnight Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Elder CW (Audrey) McKnight, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mr. Lionel (Brenda) Smith of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mr. Olive Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada, two aunties; Mother Mary McKnight, Baton Rouge, LA, Mrs. Carolyn Doze, Baton Rouge, LA, three grandchildren; Tyrel Rhajem, Booker Columbus, GA, Xaylan Mark Zacharis McKnight Albuquerque, NM, A’merie Falisa McKnight Enterprise, AL, special great-nephew; “her bug” Mason Kalaimoke Martin Enterprise, AL and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends.
