Jimmie Waters Adams Obituary

 A time to be Born: On February 13, 1943 in Elba, Alabama a precious gift from God was given to the union of the Late John Henry Waters and Catherine Daniels Waters. A daughter was born; they named her Jimmie Lou Waters.

 

A time for everything under the sun: Jimmie Lou received her early education at Mulberry Heights School in Elba, Alabama. The duration of her life span was spent in New York and Miami, Florida. Jimmie Lou was a loving person, who gave  of herself by bringing joy and laughter to those she came in contact with. She was a dedicated hard worker for over 30 years at Palm Springs General Hospital, Florida until she retired and relocated to Alabama to be with her family.

 

A time to love: Jimmie Lou found love and companionship with James Adams and was united in marriage on June22, 1968 in Elba, Alabama. James preceded Jimmie in death. Unique in many ways, Jimmie had an everlasting love for her family and friends.

 

A time to die: A useful and fruitful life came to a silent end on February 02, 2018. As an angel beaconed Jimmie’s spirit to be absent from us and present with the Lord. Jimmie answered her savior’s call sleeping earth out her grasp to be awaken in a new land and a new life everlasting and eternal. Proceeding her in death is her husband James Adams;  father, John Henry Waters; daughter Angela Denise Waters; brother Leroy, Raymond and Henry Waters. 

 

A Time to Mourn: As Jimmie rejoices in her new found life free of all pain, she leaves cherished memories and loving hearts with her mother Catherine Waters, of Elba, Alabama; daughters Rezella Gray ( Prophet Cobie Gray) Daleville, Alabama, Zelenna Allen (James) Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters: Lucille Hammonds, Louise Harris (Vernon) Mary Waters all of Elba, Alabama; two brothers: James Waters Elba, Alabama, Skeeter Waters (Polly) Fort Walton Beach Florida. 8 grandchildren, 10  great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
