Jewel was born to the late Ardenels Flowers and the late Willie C. Amos Flowers April 16, 1946. She was preceded in death by her son Antwain Flowers, one sister, and four brothers.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She served as the Secretary of the Church for over fifty years. She was also the President of the Usher Board for over forty years. She loved her church and served faithfully until her health failed. She sponsored the annual Mother’s Day Program for over forty years. She was the co-chairman of the Community’s Annual Christmas Program for forty years. She was a pillar in the community.
Jewel attended college where she received her degree in Business Administration. She held several jobs over the years. She was the manager of Magnolia Wood Lodge (Assistant Living Facility) in Troy for several years.
She leaves to cherish: her memories, one daughter Crystal FaShae (Douglas) Holland five grandchildren; Ashley, Alexius, Tyliyah, Chelsey, and Vivian; three great grandchildren; MaKayla, Cashton, and Taylor all of Brundidge; one sister- Helen Franklin; one god sister-Pearl Harvey; a special niece-Pamela Franklin all of Brundidge; two sisters-in-law; Velvia Flowers of Brundidge, and Carolyn Flowers of Troy, three aunts; Nancy Flowers and Annie Jewel Flowers of Elba and Georgia Flowers of Brundidge, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
