SSG James Edward Warren ( affectionally known as “Smokey”) was educated in the Enterprise School system. He enlisted in the US Army, Infantry Division, where he served 13 years before receiving an Honorable discharge.

He is survived by his mother (Dorothy Nell Byrd); sons (SSG LeQuenton Maurice and Jamaine); siblings (Diann, John, Virginia (Ted Smitherman Brother-in-law), Lincoln and Deborah (Dr. Michael Satchell, M.D. –in-brother-in-law) ; Nieces and Nephews (Antonio Glover (Sommer Warren), Trentina Smitherman (deceased 2007) , Michaela and Donovan Satchell); His late father’s (J.W.) niece (Virdell McLain); Great-nephews and nieces (A’mun, A’iyeem, A’mille and Kio Glover) ; and a host of other Relatives and Friends, including Michael Beard.
