James H Porter

James Harold “Pierre” Porter was born on September 1, 1958 in Pensacola, FL, to his parents Robert, Sr. and Minnie Porter. On August 3, 2018, he departed this life in Montgomery, AL.
In 1982, he re-located to Elba, AL where he became known to relatives and friends as “Pierre”. Establishing his career as a self-employed craftsman, James resided in Enterprise, AL until his death. He took pride in his skills, and was well respected in his community. He will be remembered by his stern voice, muscular physique, crisp attire, and grill master skills. 
James was preceded in death by his father Robert Porter, Sr.; Sisters– Peggy Jarrett & Margaret Terry ; brother– Curtis Porter.
He leaves to cherish his  memory a mother– Minnie Porter (Enterprise, AL); loving companion—Jacquetta Hart; a brother– Robert (Samantha) Porter, Jr. (Yonkers, NY); four sisters– Sylvia Thomas (California); Cheryl Porter (Yonkers, NY);  Martha Riley (Enterprise, AL); Cassandra Porter (Yonkers, NY). Four children -Timothy Daniels & Sherika Daniels (Elba, AL); Shandajia & Naijeonna Tyson (Enterprise, AL); (Enterprise, AL); dear nephew– Jonathan Marcano (Yonkers, NY); close friend & brother Bernard Miller (Enterprise, AL); four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
