Bobby J. Burks, Jr. was born on June 3, 1971 in Geneva, AL. He was the first of two children to Bobby J. Burks, Sr. and Mae Broxton Burks, he was known as BJ, Booboo, and Dutch.
At an early age, Bobby accepted Christ while he attended the Church of God in Christ, Geneva, AL. After graduating from Coffee Springs High School, in 1991 he served five years in the Navy. On November 22, 1996 Bobby married Nicole Curry Burks, to this union, they had two children; Shaquille Curry of Richmond Mill, GA and Alexis Burks, Samson, AL, Daquan Burks, Enterprise, AL, Shane Mitchell, Texas, and one grandson, Elijah Windham of Samson, AL.
Bobby enjoyed life, he did not meet any strangers, he had the biggest smile and loved his nieces, nephews, children and best friends, sister Maytress Groomes and brother, James Hillman. Bobby was skilled in welding, cooking and an experienced fork lift operator, and he also worked with electronics.
On October 30, 2019 God called home one of his best servants, Bobby Burks. He leaves to cherish his memories; a loving and devoted wife; Nicole C. Burks; two children; Shaquille Curry, of Richmond Mill, GA and Alexis Burks, Samson, AL, parents Bobby J. Burks, Sr. and Mae Broxton Burks, sister Maytress, Thomas Groomes of Kinsey, AL, aunt; Mary and William Rogers, Enterprise, AL, uncles; Herman and Joyce Broxton, Enterprise, AL, Arthur Broxton, Columbus, GA, and mother-in-law Lillie M. Curry Enterprise, AL, two sisters-in law, ten brothers-in-law.
