Bennie Edwards

On February 4, 1935, a handsome baby boy was born to the late JC and Annie Bell Edwards. They named him Bennie Frank Edwards.

Bennie confessed to Christ at an early age and united with Pleasant Shade Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the Deacon Ministry, worked at Smith Lumber Company for several years and became self employed at Edwards Grocery until failed health caused him to retire.

On the early morning August 1, 2017 at 12:05 a.m. God called him home. Bennie was granted his wings to go home into eternal rest.

He leaves to cherish his memories 3 sons, Jesse Edwards (Debbie), Daytona Beach, Fl, Jimmy Edwards (Samella), Alpharetta, Ga, and Robert Larkins (Virginia ), Chattanooga, Tn, one daughter Patricia Edwards (Pete), Enterprise, Al. One sister Mozell Young, Radcliff, Ky, two brothers Louie D. Edwards, Charlotte, Nc. and Willie Charles Townsend, Troy, Al. Nine grandchildren Karmecithia Edwards, Atlanta, Ga, Jesse Edwards lI, Enterprise, Al, Jessica Yan Daytona Beach, Fl, Dr. Tiffany Edwards, Alpharetta, Ga, Corey Edwards, Auburn, Al, Trenisa Adair, Chattanooga, Tn, Kendal Larkins, Chattanooga, Tn, Tristica Larkins, Nashville, Tn, Rashad Sistrunk, Birmingham, Al and nine great-grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Deacon Edwards was preceded in death by his wife Lola Pearl Edwards , four sisters, Annie Ruth Holloway, Mary Louise Fleming, Lille Bell Edwards and Willie Pearl Grase. Heaven was awaiting a special delivery of angel Bennie to fly on home.
