Born September 14th, 1918 in Pike County Alabama to Clinton and Lula Hooks both whom proceeded her in death. Annie L Williams grew up in a loving home as the 6 of 7 children.  She has 3 sisters and 3 brothers: Ola Hooks (Deceased), Mary Stringer (Deceased), Addy Mae Simmons (Deceased), Hilery Hooks (Deceased), and William Hooks (Deceased).

She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Otis John Henry Williams (Deceased) for over 50 years.  This union was blessed with 2 brother- in-laws and 1 sister-in-law: James L (Estella) Williams, Elba, AL; Cleaven W (Vera) Williams, Elba, AL; and Corene (Obie Daniels), Elba, AL.

  Annie and Otis Williams had 15 children: Mary Frances (Clinton) Daniels, Elba, AL; Clara (Cecil) Caldwell, New Brockton, AL; Ammie Jo (William) White, Enterprise, AL; Ann Laura (Benard), Rochester, NY; Geraldine Owens, Enterprise, AL; Judy Williams, Enterprise, AL; Carolyn (Bobby) Williams, West Palm Beach, FL;  Nathan (Shelia), New Brockton, AL; Earnest (Margret) Williams, Elba, AL; James (Patricia) Williams, Enterprise, AL; Mary Jo (Curtis) Flowers, Lake Wells, FL; 3 Children who proceeded her in death: Otis Williams Jr and a set of twins. An honorary grand-daughter, Tracey (Boris) Willams-Cason, Daleville, AL, which she raised as her own.

She became a member of Rocky Head Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She enjoyed working with children. She was a foster grandparent to special needs children at Elba High School for many years.  Annie L Williams was blessed with 98 years to witness a phenomenal 5th generation legacy that consisted of: 53 grand-children, 103 great grandchildren and 36 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandson. Also left to cherish her memories is a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends.
