    Reflections of Life

 


    NAVONJOR  "PUN" WILLIAMS was born August 19, 1957 in Elba, Alabama. He was born to the late Jurlean Pruitt Williams Gray & Thomas Edwin Williams.

    He attended school at Mulberry Heights and later attended Elba City Schools. After high school he joined the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army, he returned to Elba and united in marriage to Susan Phillips where he became the father of two loving sons.

    At an early age he joined Harris Temple COGIC and later on in life he became Deacon at the church. He loved his HT church family. After relocating, he joined New Jerusalem COGIC in Enterprise, AL where he remained a member until his death. He loved his family and friends. He loved to work and always had a smile on his face that would light up any room that he came in. He loved people and would do whatever he could for others.

    He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving fiancé : Marylene Hooks, Elba, AL; two sons: Demier (Charlene) Phillips, Elba, AL  and Hayward (Tara) Phillips, Enterprise, AL.  Sisters: Gloria (Miguel) Encarnacion, Oakgrove, Kentucky; Ashley Lynn Orosco, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Connie (Michael) Banks, Lula M. Cole, Beverly Aponte, Melanie (Eric) Newson, all of Elba, AL and a very special and devoted sister, Kathryn Williams-Cole, Elba, AL. Brothers: Prophet Cobie (Rezella) Gray, Daleville, AL; Rufus (Pearl) Williams, Doster, AL; Reginald Williams, California, and Jimmy (Rochelle) Coleman, Birmingham, AL. Stepmother: Kathleen Williams, Elba, AL; Grandchildren: Kacharla, Tanshay, and Chasmine Phillips, all of Elba; Destiny Patterson, New Brockton, AL; and Britt Phillips, Enterprise, AL. Sister in laws: Apostle Linda Williams, Augusta, Ga and Denise Coleman, Dothan, Al; Devoted nieces: Yoquesha Terry, Montgomery, AL and Cobree Whithead, Enterprise, AL. Devoted nephew: Thomas Cole, Montgomery, AL.  Special Friends: Henry McKinney (a devoted friend), Lorenzo Cole, Bobby Terry, Alan Belcher, Huey Daniels, and Charles Glover. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Preceding him in death: Brothers: Thomas Williams Jr, Roderick "Tweet Bird" Williams, Willard "Puma" Coleman, and Archbishop Mar Hirron Ignatius Williams; Grandparents: Bill Frank and Ruby Grace Williams and Willie and Odessa Pruitt.
