Mr. Willie Townsend was born in Pike County, AL on March 15, 1939 to JC Edwards and Willie Mae Nichols, at a very early age he was a GOD giving gift  to Finus and Julie Mae Townsend. He joined Benevolent Grove at an early age, he was the church treasurer, a faithful member and a devoted deacon. He loved Benevolent Grove and his church family. He was a dedicated employee at Wiley Sanders for the majority of his career. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, one son, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
