Leroy Nelson

Brother Leroy Nelson was born in White Hall, Alabama on 05 November 1942 to the late Annie Bell (Gretchen) Nelson. On 14 February 2018 Leroy was granted his angel wings. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends at the Hartford Nursing Home under the care of Kindred Hospice. 
Leroy was a faithful member of the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, were he served as a trustee and a member of the male chorus until the decline of his health. He enjoyed reading his bible and listening to gospel music.
Leroy was preceded in death by his wife; Alvonya Nelson, son; Ricky Nelson, and four siblings; Elijah Nelson, J.D. Nelson, Eulecie Nelson, and Richard Nelson. 
Leroy is survived by; Shelia (Norris) Smith of New Brockton, AL and Eddie (Wynell) Nelson of Haines City, FL. 13 Grandchildren; Chasitie Lee, April Tyson, Leticia Henry, Tiffincy Smith, LaNorris Smith, IKeisha, Ncube, Ednecia Nelson, Eddie Nelson Jr., Charity Nelson, Tony Pouncey, Chaka Pouncey, Tara Pouncey, Kosha Pouncey; and a host of great grandchildren.
