Welcome to the memorial page for

Johnny William Faulk

March 20, 1936 ~ May 17, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Johnny W. Faulk was the sixth child born to the late Dewey and Icy Lynn Faulk on March 20, 1936 in Daleville, Alabama.  To their union nine children were born.

Johnny attended elementary school in Daleville and Coffee County Training School in Enterprise, AL from where he graduated high school.  From 1954 to 1957 he served in the U.S. Army.  In the late 1950's, he relocated to Chicago, IL and enrolled in Olive Harvey and Chicago State University to study Business Administration.  Upon completion, he graduated and worked in upper management roles throughout his business career.  Although Johnny was academically inclined he was also a jack of all trades and despite how the saying goes, he actually mastered quite a few (working on cars, carpentry, remodeling, building, plumbing, electrical and wine making).  You name it and he tried his hand at it.  After decades of working he retired in the late 90's.  After retirement his spirit of entrepreneurship took flight and he opened Faulk's Auto Care and Upholstery.

On July 13, 1963, Johnny was united in holly matrimony to Betty Lewis.  To their union, two children were born - Ronald & LaTonya.

Johnny was baptized at an early age at St. Mark AME Church in Daleville, Alabama; however, as an adult he accepted eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.  He would open  his home to family and friends who needed a place to stay.  He had a heart for service in many aspects.  At Arnett Chapel AME Church he faithfully served as a Treasurer for many years.  He was a true man of God.

Johnny peacefully transitioned in his sleep into eternal life on May 17, 2017.  The memory of his life and legacy will be cherished and celebrated by his wife Betty, two children - Ronald & LaTonya, two grandchildren - Tenae & Aden, two sisters - Gladys & Mary and many more family members and friends.
