James Gray, Jr. was born July 30, 1943 to Mr. James Gray, Sr.and the late Mrs. Lucille Delacey Gray.
At an early age he confessed hope in Christ and joined the Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He attneded and graduated from the Mulberry Heights High School.
Mr. Gray served approximately four (4) years in in the United State Air Force. Following an honorable discharge from the Air Force, employment opportunities afforded him a chance to travel from North to South. As an employee of Winter & Summer Resort He went from Dora, Florida to Crawford Knox, New Hampshire. Mr. Gray returned to Elba to live and was an employee of Dorsey Trailer until its closing in 2000.
Mr. Gray was an active member of the Elba Zion Missionary Worhship Service and Bible Study Class. To those who knew “Junior/Gator”, he was: caring, supportive, talkative, hilarious, lovable, and love to say “hey baby”. We will truly miss Junior. Survivors include, but are not limited to : his father James Gray, Sr., brother, Colby Gray, sister, Lynn Gray, aunt, Maggie D. Marshall, nephews, nieces, a host of cousins, church family, and friends.
