Hilda Horace

Mrs. Hilda Grace Horace was born December 4, 1932 to the late Ollie and Versie Pouncey of Chancellor, Alabama. She had an unwavering faith in God which led her join Shady Grove Baptist Church. At an early age after marriage, she joined Grove Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord until the family united at St. Beulah Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Horace completed coffee county training school in 1949. Her careers in life included a seamstress in Enterprise textile industry, an entrepreneur as a Home Day service, and a nutrition program provider at an Early Day Care center. She was married to the late James B. Horace on may 30th, 1930 and to this union eight children were born.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Horace, and six siblings.
She leaves to cherished memories to her loving children, Khateryne Horace, Sara Horace, Brenda and Gregory Buckley, James D. Horace, Vivian Bass, James W. and Sonya Horace, James J. and Dorthy Horace and Janice Horace. Fourteen grandchildren : Kendra Anderson, Crystal Bass, Thomas Horace, Alexis and Bryan Price, Brittaney and Garrett Powell, Paige Horace, Shonte’ Crawford, Andre’ Frazier, Zachary Horace, Eric Neal. Five Great-Children Colin Bell, Brooklyn Anderson Daniel Pierce, Kennedy Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends.
