Mother Fannie Ruth Newson was born on November 7, 1931 in Coffee County.  She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Alford Johnson

As a young adult, Mother Newson received the Lord and she became a member of New Jerusalem COGIC.  Later in life, she joined Faith Tabernacle COGIC where she served faithfully until death.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion Newson; two sisters, Lula Mae Pierson and Sue Pryor; one brother, Arthur Johnson; three sons, Alford J. Johnson, Willie M. Newson, and Don Pearson.

Mother Newson was loved by many and she leaves to cherish her dear memories, one son, Donald (Sue) Pearson; one daughter, Elaine Flowers; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; one aunt, Nettie Whaley and a host of nieces and nephews that she held a special part in their lives.
